This opening session will include overviews from the EC officer of Euratom projects related to waste management and decommissioning, followed by overviews of the two large ongoing projects EURAD (European Joint Programme on Radioactive Waste Management) and PREDIS (Predisposal Radioactive Waste Management), including aspects of Knowledge Management and Digitalization actions and achievements from both.
